Creating an entertainment area around your pool

Transform Your Swimming Pool into an Entertainment Area with a Swimming Pool Bar

Can you imagine yourself sitting on a pool stool, relaxing and sipping on a margarita and eating some chicken barbecue? Sounds too good to be true? You can create the perfect entertainment oasis right in your pool by purchasing a pool bar.

If you love entertaining people then the pool deck and the pool bar will serve as the place where people can spend a lot of time during parties eating, drinking, reading, sunbathing or just having a good time. A pool party is similar to any other backyard party; however, the party is mostly centered on swimming.
Pool bars are also commonly known as swim up bars and have gained popularity in residential pools only in the past few years. When they were first introduced into the market, swimming pool bars were mostly found in popular vacation destinations such as the Caribbean. Pool bars were, and still are, a popular attraction at many popular hotels and resorts.

There are different kinds of swimming pool bars. In-pool bars are swimming pool bars that are positioned directly in your pool. Pool bar sets usually include bar stools, a table with molded drink holders and an umbrella. Pool bars are ideal because you can easily set your food or drinks on the table. This means that you do not have to get in and out of the pool to get a drink. One of the downsides to in-pool bars is the limited storage space. If your pool is not very big, a pool bar can limit the amount of space in the pool.

The other kind of swimming pool bars known as poolside bars are attached or installed along the side of your pool. Though they are not in the pool, poolside bars are still considered as pool bars. Poolside bars do not take up place in your pool, but the disadvantage of these pool bars is the inconvenience of having to get in and out of the pool each time you want to eat or drink something. The advantage to having a poolside bar is that you are not taking up place in the pool. Perhaps, the only downside to having a poolside bar is that you must exit the pool to get what you want. If a poolside bar is not what you are looking for then you will want to examine in-pool bars.
